I was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. I love this community and have never left! My desire to help others led me to obtaining Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Addiction Counseling. I have been a Licensed Addiction Counselor for the past eleven years. In that time, I have gained much experience in providing a non-judgmental space to support people during their most challenging and transformative moments. I have also been trained extensively on providing trauma-informed compassionate care. As a result of working in a helping profession, I am familiar with valuable resources and connections for expectant parents.
When my husband and I decided to start a family, I became a self-proclaimed "birth enthusiast". I read every pregnancy and birth book I could get my hands on and researched all the local pregnancy and birth resources we had in our community. After all my searching, I came to learn that birth doesn’t have to be scary because your body is designed to give birth! I am passionate about educating families of the options they have in their birthing experience, so they can pursue the birth of their dreams!
